Project Description

Founded in 1967, the Tacoma Area Literacy Council strives to improve the lives of people in the Tacoma community by helping adults achieve their English literacy goals with free and confidential one-on-one tutoring. TALC asked MediaLab to rebrand the non-profit organization for its 50th anniversary.

Tacoma Area Literacy Council Overview

As part of rebranding the Tacoma Area Literacy Council, I directed an overview video to show their services and celebrate their 50 years of service in the community. The video includes narration with historical photos, and interviews with TALC teachers and students. I oversaw all aspects of the production, in addition to story editing, assisting with filming and editing, and creating the motion graphics for the video.

In the News

After our TALC rebranding was complete, the City of Tacoma produced a segment on the organization for their news program, Tacoma Report. They asked to use our footage (videos and photos) for the story to supplement the interviews they conducted.
